Yet another landscape: Winter Mountains

Image
Today I added a scenic winter landscape to the set of surrounds. With this surround you will be able to create a wonderful winter sim. Lift the sim surface up to just above the surround surface (terraforming) and rez your châlets, pine trees and ski lifts there... Your visitors or renters will LOVE it and invite all their friends over! This surround has great potential for winter scenery lovers... The red square in the middle depicts the edges of the sim itself.

New Sim Surround Landscape: Green Hills

Image
Today I added a new surround to the shop. You can place it in a low position to get a set of islands around your sim, and combine it with matching beaches and waves. You can also place it high on your sim, to get a land sim surrounded in a mountain environment. See the pictures below:

New feature: Change the surround textures yourself!

Image
During the last week I have been working on a new feature. From now on you can change the textures of all sim surround landscapes yourself! You can select from more than 30 textures that are already loaded in the surround, or use your own texture. That way you can make the surround match your sim ground. You can too change the brightness of the textures and how often a texture is repeated on the surface. Below are some pictures to give you an idea of what you can do from now on. You can even change the textures of the landscapes that are on display on our sim!

New Tropical Environments

Image
Yesterday I added two new versions of the tropical island surrounds: one with small islands, and one with bigger islands. Both surrounds are made of 26 prims, and consist of vegetated islands, waves and reefs. The prims are joined in one object, which makes it very easy to position the environment. Did you buy a surround with islands earlier? Contact me in-world and you can exchange them for the new version for free!

Desert valley and road

Image
This week I added a new sim surround landscape: a dry, barren valley with steep mountains on both sides. The landscape comes with a long, straight asphalt road. This is a seperate object that you can shift along the valley floor. Since it is a seperate object you can always take it back into your inventory.

Five Outside Sim Landscapes

Image
These five landscapes can be rezzed on any island sim. They position themselves automatically in the middle of the island. The landscapes are just one object each, consisting of 17 prims. The landscapes surround the island sim. You can always move the landscapes upward or downward after they rezzed, or rotate them to get a different view. Visit the Landscapes Unlimited sim where you can rez all sim surround landscapes.

Sim Surround Islands: second set

Image
Tropical island environments are very popular in Second Life. Many people want to sit on a comfortable chair or lie down on a towel on a white sandy beach. Most tropical islands are surrounded by empty oceans. Nice, but in the long run a bit boring. Here and there you see some off-sim rocks and waves. Our newest products convert the ocean surrounding an island region into an archipelago of small islands. We als have reefs and crashing ocean waves to go with them. Below you can see four versions of the small islands set. You can always combine them with your other off-sim landscape elements, they often go together very well. Visit the Landscapes Unlimited sim where you can rez all sim surround landscapes.
