Yosemite Skybox Environment for 4,096 m² parcels

Over the last few months, several people have asked me if I had a version of the Yosemite skybox environment that would completely fit on a 64 x 64m parcel (4,096 m²). The smallest environments I had up to now were 100 x 100m, too big for people who could not get permission from their neighbors to go over their land with the mega prims. Last week I decided a 64 x 64m version would actually be a good addition to what I had to offer, and I started to create one. This was not just a matter of shrinking the existing environment, because the open area in the middle would become too small: I had to push the mountains, rivers and waterfalls to the sides.

This resulted in a very nice, secluded sky environment of 43 prims. Rez a few trees, a cabin, some grass and you're done: a romantic getaway, high above your regular house or shop at ground level.


This tiny environment is available in my store and on the marketplace, in Bronze (both Summer and Winter), Silver and Gold editions. As always, free demos are available too.

    This is beautiful! I wish you offered some of your other 100 x 100 pieces in the smaller size as well, I'm drooling over your Skybox environments with the water but they're just too big. :(

    I'm sorry Jishin, but I have no plans to convert the other skybox environments to a smaller size. The flat area in the middle would become too small to build a tiny house.

New release: the Summer mirror box (cubic and rectangular)

Today I'm releasing a new mirror box with 50 new non-Winter scenes. This mirror box is available in a cubic end a rectangular shape. For creating the scenes (all done inside Second Life, using my own creations) I've mostly used my latest Mega sim surrounds as a backdrop: Alpine Ridge, Mount Fuji, Cuesta Galore and Tarn Valley. There are Spring, Summer and Autumn scenes. Most are daytime and sunset scenes, and some are nighttime scenes. Just go through them to see what you like. These new Summer boxes make use of Experience tools to automatically let you and your friends enjoy environment settings that match the current scene. You should switch this feature on in the Options menu of the mirror box, allow the "Mirror and Backdrop Box Environment Settings" on your land/region and you should enable the Use Shared Environment option in your viewer.  When you click through all scenes your settings will change accordingly. Introducing: The Mirror Box

Time for some true innovation in Second Life! Today I'm introducing a completely new version of an already existing kind of item in SL: a skybox made of flat screens, and I'm calling it The Mirror Box. Reflections, even at low graphics settings As far as I can tell, two aspects are completely different from what's currently on the market: The pictures for the screens were all taken in Second Life itself. You can see Second Life skies and clouds on them, and the landscapes you see are also images of 3D landscapes of Landscapes Unlimited in SL; Halfway in the box is an animated water texture. Below it, the box is textured in a way that makes it appear as if the water completely and naturally reflects the sky and landscape images.
