Winter is here!

This is my newest surrounding landscape. Rez it on your island, and a few seconds later you'll be immersed in a wintery mountain scene! The flat area in the middle has ice textures on it, that way your island seems to be in the middle of a frozen mountain lake. If you lower the landscape, water will be in between the surrounding mountains and your island.

This surround, like all others, has menus installed to let you change the surface textures. That way you will be able to use it in Spring, Summer and Autumn too. A demo is available at Landscapes Unlimited.

In order to quickly introduce this surround to the grid, it will be discounted until December 1, 2010.

Update of the Corner Parcel Landscapes

I upgraded the sim extension landscapes for 1/4 sim corner parcels. I also created a new type to go with them: straight tropical landscape elements and a smaller corner. These, when combined with the corner parcel extensions, can be used to surround any combination of sims with a tropical coast. All sim extensions include islands, beaches, reefs, waves and palm trees.

I added a menu to allow you to change the textures of the islands and beaches:

Use four corners (available as a package) to surround one island sim:

Combine them to surround any setup of connected sims, like this:

Some technical data: all elements are just 1 object. The corners are 34 prims, the straight elements are 23 prims, and the inner corner is 13 prims. They all have "drag and drop" technology installed, just drop them close to where you want them, and they will move into place!

Do you need a large number of them? Contact me and ask for a discount!

Palm trees in the tropics!

Some people asked if I would want to add trees to the landscapes. Well, here they are! Both tropical archipelagos have palm trees now (about 400 trees each, 20 prims), and I must say: the effect is astounding... Judge for yourself, have a look at the pictures below and come over to Landscapes Unlimited!

For those who already have one of the archipelagos: you will soon be able to buy a seperate set of palm trees.

New: Half Surrounds for More Flexibility

During the last few weeks I worked on a new type of off-sim extension: environments that you can rez along one side of a sim. These environments are very suitable for regions that are not islands themselves, but together with other regions for an island group or a continent. You can drop them close to the edge of the sim where you want them, and they will rotate and move into place. After fez you can adjust their position.
Of course these environments can also be used on single, free-lying islands (full sims, homesteads, open spaces). You can buy two or four of them with a discount, to completely surround your island. Come to Landscapes Unlimited and get a few demos!
Below are some pictures of the new landscapes and a picture of the new demonstration panel. When you're on the sim you can click on the pictures to rez them on the spot.

New surround landscape: suitable for two or more sims

This is a new coastal landscape to surround your SL island. I used the textures of another very popular mountain landscape (surround 5) to get a very realistic 3D effect.

One of the sides is open to the sea. That makes it very suitable if your island consists of two or more sims or if you want a real harbour feel to your sim. A free demo is available at Landscapes Unlimited!

Overhaul of the sky landscapes

I renewed all landscapes for skyboxes. They are available in six sizes, from 50x50 m for small parcels to 1000x1000 m for island sims. The biggest sizes can be used to split up the sky above an island sim or homestead into additional levels to build on! A menu allows you to do this: Change the surface texture (select one of 30 pre-loaded ones or use you own), its brightness and repeat factorChange the size (each landscape can be rezzed in two sizes)Make the landscape disappear immediately or when you go offlineMake the middle of the landscape flat to accomodate your skybox or other buildings
On our sim you can see all landscapes, get free demos and the buy the real versions. Below are pictures of all sky landscapes:
